Bentonite Clay

Purifies the skin, deep cleansing of the pores.
Ideal for making a cleansing face mask
100% natural

Bentonite is one of our most popular clays and comes from naturally occurring volcanic ash deposits. Bentonite, also called Montmorillonite, can be used externally as a mud wrap, to make a hair mask or in skin care recipes.

When Bentonite Clay comes into contact with a liquid, something changes in the composition of the clay. This creates the ability to absorb toxins. Bentonite clay absorbs oil and dirt from the pores. It makes the skin smoother, tighter and softer, causing fine lines to fade. Suitable for both dry and oily skin. Do you want to know more about Bentonite Clay? Then read our blog about Bentonite Clay.

Tip: do not let Bentonite Clay come into contact with metals, as this significantly reduces the effectiveness of the clay.

Bentonite Clay and Acne

The adsorbing ability of bentonite clay can be useful in the treatment of acne and oily skin. The clay can help remove sebum or oil from the skin's surface, and it can also have a calming effect on inflamed pimples. Because of this, the use of clay masks with bentonite clay can help remove impurities and act on oily or acne skin.
Use Bentonite Clay

Many commercial face masks contain clay because of its purifying effect on the skin. Some face masks contain bentonite, but you can also easily make your own face mask at home with bentonite clay. Then your mask is also 100% natural, because in the commercial masks there are often a lot of additives that should ensure that the mask does not spoil or harden!

Mix bentonite clay with water to a thick paste. Apply to your face (avoid the area around the eyes!). Leave the mask on until it hardens and rinse (do not leave on for more than 20 minutes). Repeat several times a week
